BIBLE STUDY BUILDING FOR GOD
I. Building anything worthwhile takes:
1.Work Ec.9::10
2.Patience Heb.12:1
3.Courage Deut. 31:6, Jos.1:4
II. Successful Building requires great focus
1.Count the cost
Lk.14:28&29
2.Envision the task complete
Jn.4:35
3.See the importance of what we are doing--building the kingdom of God
Neh.6:3
III. Building will have set backs
1.People will be discouraged
Nu.21:5
2.People will quit building for a variety of reasons
Jn.6:66
a.disillusioned b.discouraged c. disgusted with themselves d. other reasons
IV. Building for Christ requires stedfastness
1. Stedfastness to the cause of Christ renders great benefits to people here and
hereafter.
a. Now---we are doing something to help stem the tide of sin--we are doing
something important .
2.Hereafter----heaven
ICor.15:58 Therefore my beloved brethren be you stedfast, unmovable, always
abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as you know your labor is
not in vain in the Lord.
"PEOPLE DON'T CARE HOW MUCH YOU KNOW UNTIL THEY KNOW HOW
MUCH YOU CARE'
"WHEN YOU GO TO WHERE PEOPLE ARE, YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO TAKE
